So...no mercy.

No way.  They can be forgiven after they are executed and sent to meet their Maker.  Cool

Read the law.

Only in terms of your judgment.

Whose mercy and judgment are we talking about here?

God's mercy may triumph over human judgment but I don't think that undeserved mercy shown by humans triumphs over God's judgment.

Who is stumped now?

Mercy is undeserved by definition.  What is "deserved mercy"?

Read the Bible.  No mercy will be shown to those who extend no mercy.  Guess you'll be out of luck...?

I would agree with mercy for all on this one especially on judgement is not over mercy. Demonstrated in the ark that contained the law and the commandments that is under the mercy seat and the Lord appeared in a cloud upon the mercy seat. I know in my own personal relationship with the Lord that one should ask the Lord the have Mercy on those who have done you wrong. Therefore you trust in His judgement on the matter for if you don’t, then your telling God that your own judgement is better then His (not good, not good at all for those who think they be before the Lord.)

It is not that the Lord would not have Mercy, but that He would have men that would have Mercy if they had it to give, which would be of the Lord.

Yes, that's it.

Undeserved by whom - the judge?

What would justify it then?

It can be conditioned on mitigating circumstances or out of love.

Mercy on demand or for every case is not required.

I think you are trying to impose some law of Mercy on us.  Grin

Hopefully all 5 of the rapists will be executed in accordance with God's law.

These awful things happen every day when rapists and murderers are forgiven and set free instead of being condemned to death in accordance with God's law.

Rapists and murderers being set free by irresponsible civic authorities is not the same as forgiveness.

Forgiveness without retribution, restitution and repentance is an abomination before God.

Dude, your all mixed up.

Mathew 5 :

43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?

You don't love, forgive and pray for your enemies only when they make restitution and repent. It's a tough standard
but we are supposed to forgive because we have been forgiven much.  When Jesus said "forgive them for they know
not what they do" he wasn't saying "wait for them to repent and make restitution then forgive them."

Mercy is not on demand.  Mercy is mercy.

Unfortunately, you've demonstrated that you have none.

Are you caught again and deliberately pretending to misunderstand?  That gets old so fast. Undecided

Mercy is not "conditioned penalty."  It's revoked penalty and mitigating circumstances have nothing to do with it when it comes to a perfect God.  Love?  That's something else.  But love is not deserved just as mercy is not deserved.
