No, Ritalin is given to a hyper kid. So if one is OFF Ritalin, he'd be hyper. Kids with ADHD are given Ritalin.

Methylphenidate is used as part of a treatment program to control symptoms of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD; more difficulty focusing, controlling actions, and remaining still or quiet than other people who are the same age) in adults and children.

What I am saying is that you can't read and see that that medication is PART OF A TREATMENT and therefore it doesn't treat ALL the symptoms treated by said treatment but only a select few.
Also what I am saying is that you left out the part that says that you're full of shit. Here it is ( from your own source):

If you dont know what you're talikng about I suggest you refrain from displaying your ignorance. Ritalin was developed as a stimulant for narcoleptics (people who fall asleep uncontrollably) and it was discovered by accident in the UK that the drug acted the opposite way when given to overactive children.

Now you know a little about this overprescribed drug and you can impress the moronic, PMSed, zealot women in the PTA with your knowledge.

How about you learning that Ritalin is used for children with ADHD. Do you even know what ADHD is? Obviously not. Ritalin increases the action of neurotransmitters known as catecholamines helping kids to focus on tasks vs being all over the place.

But, as usual, you've derailed another thread.
