What The Heck ?!?

Ok, so I accidentally washed and dried a shower curtain liner.... it didnt melt the curtain (well as far as I can tell it is the same) but now everytime I dry a load of clothes, there is a plastic ball about the size of a big jellybean in the dryer....this has happened 4 times now ... so, yeah, IDK what to do about that  Undecided

interesting i guess just look in drum see if there is anymore plastic stuff that fell off and clean out?

Next time it would be better to just take like a scrub brush and scrub with a approved cleaner and rinse with hose or you could do it actually with curtain still on curtain rod if you are carefuland rinse with shower head .

thats a good one though i guess just run its through its course but dont put youre favorite clothes in there till its ran its course and theres no more plastic to tumble.

Hmmmmm.     I would think if you washed it and put it outside it would be dry in a hr. where you live.   But right now I would only dry your husbands things in it until it stops doing that.   Grin

LOL it didnt happen on purpose ....my son threw it into the laundry instead of the trash as he was told...
I checked the entire dryer and there is no sign of plastic what so ever..I've now dried 10 loads and 7 times the little clear jelly bean showed up...it's kind of a fun game now to find it, but I have a feeling this may end up being a costly problem at some point.

*Chuckle* Well first you tear up the frig, now the dryer.
There could be a coating that came from the curtain that made its way
on the surface of the drum, the fins or back surface inside.
You could try getting the dryer hot without any clothes, then
scrape across the surfaces with an object (doesn't
really need to be sharp) and see if you get any material
like what you're talking about.

As far as cost is concerned, hard to say sitting on this end.
I did have to replace a drum in a dryer because the customer
stuck something in it that melted itself to the surface and wouldn't come off.

Yes Glen, I am a walking household disaster.... yesterday I got out my kirby vaccum to do some cleaning when a roll of ribbon rolled off of my dresser...as I went to pick it up I forgot to turn the vaccum off and it sucked up the entire roll, so of course I took the vaccum apart and forgot how to put it back together,.... 2 hours 3 phone calls to daddy and 5 youtube videos later I finally got the belt back on  Cheesy *smh* I really should be kept away from all appliances, that's for sure!

Ok I'll try what you suggested and I'll see what comes up... what ever it is, it is not visible.... it's still happening and I've now dried about 22 loads *sigh*
Here is a pic of what it looks like LOL

"If" the drum and back surfaces have nothing on them,  the dryer
will most likely need to be disassembled in order to inspect the internal
venting and lint filter housing. Couldn't begin to tell you what setup
they are using without the make and model number.
Make sure there's nothing on the lint filter itself.
