The term 'White Soul' usually is applied to rhythm & blues based music played/performed by White artists that captures some of the energy and drive of musics primarily created by American Blacks like blues, R & B, or Rock 'n' Roll...This is all good, but to me it just means music with 'soul and fire' created by Euro-American (White) artists of any kind...Could be based in Country & Western, or Appalachian folk, Celtic music, even European 'classical'...Here is some good 'White Soul' you may recognize, never heard of, or forgotten...

Creedence is great. As a guy in his 30s who obviously didn't enjoy them in their prime, I am always stunned by how timeless their music is.

The other band? Not much of a fan.

Who cares what color the skin of the artist is?
