Harry Burkhart, 24, was charged with 28 counts of arson of property and nine counts of arson of an inhabited structure, District Attorney Steve Cooley said.

Mom is no picnic, either ...During a court appearance Tuesday, Dorothee Burkhart scanned a Los Angeles courtroom looking for her son, apparently unaware he was behind bars less than two miles away.

My first reading of his memorial society came from these guys, so my information may be somewhat inaccurate.

He deserves to put be put away for along time..forever in fact.

This guy, after a lengthy stay in a federal penitentiary will be deported back to Germany. Seems we aren't willing to be an equal opportunity deporter. We keep missing those who belong south of our border.

Arsons in Los Angeles, Germany and possibly Canada. A daring escape through a German hospital window. A claim that fascists were trying to kill them. Skipping out on a bill for a breast augmentation surgery.
