Yeah, 30 million since 74 is a very small percentage...

Still making it a numbers-game. What was that acceptable number of deaths again , Harry?

Slaves are given the minimal amount of food
Children eat the profits of the bounty

Slaves wear rags for clothes
Children are given decent clothes to wear

Slaves have no education
Children go to school and even college

Slaves sleep in the barest of conditions
Children sleep in warm beds

Slaves suffer blows from a whip
Children are loved by their families

You're right. Not much of a difference. Or maybe that's how you treat your children, then your analogy makes sense.

You're making very good points. Uyr has a habit of distorting facts to the point of parodied mockeries.

You ask for numbers, and claim I make it a numbers game?

You're being ridiculous. The only people that never die in accidents are the ones who stay in bed all day. Perhaps it's what you'd like children to do.

I noticed that too. He's being incoherent.

People die while going on vacation with their children in their cars.

Perhaps we should outlaw vacations too.

Actually it was cc that mentioned numbers saying that only 188 children died due to farm accidents. So, and to any logical way of thinking, since one thinks the new rules, or are they old rules, are an incursion on parental rights the natural question would be just how many is an acceptable number? If the 188 given is not acceptable, would it then be 288, somewhere in between, greater then?

It is a question you, nor anyone else, wants to answer.

Wrong question. The question is, do you want the government intrusion in your life? If you don't want it in other areas, why would you want it concerning your children in a family setting?

The extreme left are the only ones who beg for more intrusion of the government in their lives and that's only because they are chronic free-loaders.

Setting aside the obvious ignorance of people like Harry, and "StarsnStripes", did the people want that government intrusing when labor laws were first established in 1938? Are you now saying that Childrens Protective Services should be done away with, and children be allowed to be abused by uncaring parents?

There is a balance to be met, and government agencies often go astray. Does that then mean we ave no need of some government agency to protect childen? We have the rules to protect adults, why not children?

And the question of how many children need to die is relevant, and you show why it is even more relevant when you seem to have no concern over their well being.
