A couple of problems with that list:

1) Everybody uses additional books besides the Bible from which to derive doctrine. Presumably those books are based on the Bible, but they exist...
2) Everybody ignores certain scriptures...sometimes justifiably so. Some people accidentally manipulate scripture.

The control one (sometimes enacted through claims of exclusivism) is a big one. Unfortunately there are many Christian churches that are technically orthodox that can be exclusive and, in this regard, like a cult.
