Stephen Hawking said it? Then it must be true.

It's more like the universe expanded from a quantum fluctuation, the result of something like "quantum foam"--which isn't really nothing.

Hawking's Universe is a mathematical creation and only an Omniscient Mathematician could have created it out of nothing.
