I honestly couldn't tell you how I learned about the Titanic. May have learned about it in school, but I don't ever remember it being discussed in class.

I remember it was touched on in one of my history/social studies classes. Aside from that, there's plenty of books and documentaries on the subject.

The fact that someone wouldn't know the Titanic actually existed is scary.

So, from about 1940, to about 1980, all the racist, segregationist Democrats became Republicans, and all the good natured Republicans became Democrats.

Got it.

You should sell that to Hollywood. It has the makings of a great movie.

Thanks for proving my point Sarge.

The people who learned about the Titanic are now aware of something they didn't know before. They actually showed they can take in new information.

You on the other hand, instead of learning something new, reject it. You cannot take in new information. It's apparently more complex than your brain can handle because you can't even repeat the process I spelled out accurately.

Point goes to the twitterfolk.

No, Siri, you are simply rehashing the same B.S. lie that was told to you and countless others by so-called Liberal Academic Elites in the Education system, and you now believe it to be absolute truth, even though you cannot prove it.

What about Bull Connor, the DEMOCRAT who turned firehoses and attack dogs on Civil Rights marchers in Birmingham in 1963?

I'm explaining something that's as well documented as the titanic, as I showed in the other thread, and yet you go and invent some crazed nonsensical conspiracy theory that this was something that some liberal teachers invented and disseminated to students.

You've truly lost your mind.

You choose to wallow in complete ignorance and you've lost all credibility on anything if you, on the basis of nothing but a conspiracy theory, reject historical facts because its too complex a process for you to understand.

This isn't about difference of opinion or ideology anymore. This is about historical facts and blatant willful stupidity.

True, like the fact that the Democratic and Republican parties both split during the 20th century and gradually underwent ideological shifts in which the Democratic Party became northern and liberal and the Republican party became southern and conservative.

Oh wait, but the right wingers never learned those facts of history and even worse deny them completely.

And yet they complain about people on twitter learning that the titanic was real.

Well at least the people on twitter learned something and accepted this information.

The right wingers...still not learning.

Your info on the dems and reps is kinda accurate.  However, your info on "right wingers" definitely inaccurate.  Of course, I'm not sure I know whom you think is a right winger.

For now, it's the left wing liberals of the dem party that are really screwing up our nation right now.

Ok, if it's so well documented, link me a narrative from a reputable source, that explains in great detail this magical game of Red Rover you speak of.

The Rise of Southern Republicans by Earl and Merle Black. A classic text on the shift from Democrat to Republican in the South - a shift which was based primarily on economic factors.

Well provide us with some 'narrative' from it that describes how masses of Democratic Racists left the Party to become Republicans.

He's claiming all the racists left the democrat party, and basically founded the modern republican party.
