Having eaten all three, my experience differs somewhat. Dog tastes like pork (as I've read human meat does too - must be a characteristic of omnivore meat); snake tastes like chicken but becomes very greasy as it cooks unless prepared well breaded to soak it up. Cooking snake is a bit like cooking calamari; it's very easy to overcook it, resulting in tough meat and a rubbery chewing experience. Both snake and dog are tender when prepared properly. Deep-fried grasshoppers are indeed crunchy, and taste a bit like Rice Krispies. Only bigger. And with legs. Covered in chocolate, they're actually pretty yummy. For those interested, horse meat is delicious.
