It's actually completely false. I live in a 2 bedroom apartment in California, 700 bucks a month non-subsidized. Federal minimum wage is 7.25 an hour, let's ignore the fact that California has a higher state minimum wage, which works out to be 1160 bucks a month. Meaning someone could afford rent here at the federal minimum although things would be tight.

Have you noticed most of the states requiring more than 88 hrs are liberal states? Have you also noticed those states also have a higher minimum wage than those that require less man hours?

Kind of makes you think doesn't it? Maybe there is a connection between liberalism, high minimum wage, and cost of living.
