Then why won't He forgive sinners instead of condemning them to hell? Of course I mean the ones who die as sinners.

That's easy. It's because it's not part of the script of the comic. The writer(s) simply chose to write it the way that they saw fit. Hence, you have the story that you have.

He knows it's ridiculous, and he's embarrassed by it. So he has to ask questions and lead you around so you can't pin down exactly what he thinks.
