Yet it's so easy to see joe is your fluffer. He doesn't have the courage to sink as low as he does except when you're around. He obviously requires strong personalities to act, and then he acts in poor imitation of them. For example, when confronted by someone of intelligence he responds by acting with a poor imitation of intelligence. When emboldened by someone who's coarse and crude, he becomes just as coarse and crude. In this way he bares a desperate need as an adult for the attention, acceptance and affection he was denied as a child: joe is the perfect follower, and he has found his leader, the person he fluffs - for this month anyway - in Jack.
