Quote:I support one's pro-choice stand. I have no problem with a woman getting an abortion if she or her doctor feels it is best for whatever the reason.
A fetus is not a child.
Which is why you are unable to recognize the idea behind the pro-life stance. And why you consider it so extreme. If you have a more open mind and recognize the fetus for what it is, a child, you will understand the position. Keep your mind closed, and you will consider to act like protecting life is somehow extreme.
Calling it extreme is a defense mechanism that is meant to scare people. It is an appeal to emotion that may or may not be effective, but either way it is illogical.
And if you differentiate between child and fetus, at what point does the fetus become a child worthy of constitutional protection? When it is born? Or some time later? I Ask because you said:
Quote:I'm ok with the way in which Obama votes. I don't believe his views are extreme.
But his votes were against protecting the lives of born children.
Quote:You focused on the race whereas I focus on the sex.
The image you posted focused on both. And they are both red herrings. Neither race or sex have any logical impact on the veracity or legitimacy of their statements or ideas.
