For signing that letter.  That was a boneheaded move for someone who claims to be a Constitutional purist.

But not boneheaded if you're running in the 2016 GOP Presidential primary race (and you actually want to try and win it).

when carter showed up in n. korea, and then Clinton jumped in too...to strike a deal that the US would provide oil, money and technology to build nuclear power plants, in exchange for a promise that n. korea would never enrich uranium or develop nuclear weapons....the left applauded and carter even won, in large part because of this deal, the nobel peace prize....

many on the center and right warned this was bad, as n. korea had a consistent history of never keeping any promise made...

when kim jong came out years later, after it was revealed they had nuclear weapons using the tech provided, he simply stated they never kept the promise from day 1...

madeline Albright is on record stating it was the worst mistake made duing the Clinton presidency, under which she served...

history rarely will look back at people like kennedy and chamberlain or Clinton/carter and blame them for their massive mistakes....

all rand is doing is trying to keep the pres from making another massive mistake that harms the US.

Really? You don't think it has anything to do with politics and his trying to get the nomination, trying to look relevant in the Senate and in the party? How could the letter have any effect at all other than the purely political?

No such thing happened.  The Soviet Union and Pakistan supplied N.K. the expertise to build nuclear weapons.

I HILLARY I remember landing under sniper fire." There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, "but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base.

I disagree.  Because it's a blow to his integrity.  And integrity was the main thing his father had going for him IMO, and the main thing that can draw people from outside the right to his tent.

And Ron Paul never won anything outside of a Congressional election.

Rand isn't going to win by being his father.
