Oil companies don't get taxed. They are a part of the corporate welfare.

They pay no taxes? Really Feddy? Is there legislation that exempts oil companies from taxes?

So
Dumb

If the electorate is corrupted dangerously by facebook accounts and fake news then democracy is an unfit form of government in this new, modern world.

Who do you think makes the most profit per gallon of gas? The state tax, the federal tax, or the oil company profit?

The consumer pays all the taxes for all things. It is in the price of the goods in this case a gallon of fuel!! You can't stay in business long without putting your overhead into the product! Shocked Shocked

This is some good stupidity. Real old school Feddy. Oil companies do not pay taxes. If so why not? Democrats when not raging against the 1 percent rage against "big oil". Why haven the democrats called for taxing "Big oil"? here is Obama? More to the point why haven' any democrats mentioned the fact "Big oil" do not pay any taxes?

Who pays the oil companies tax? You don't think it is passed to the consumer at the price at the pump? Grin Grin Grin

Yes we do.  We pay at the oil pump and they pay nothing.

LOL!

Feddy, if an entire industry does not pay taxes there must be some legislation or an EO. Can you point to that.

Clue: Tax write offs are not the same as subsidies and not paying taxes at all.

So hard to talk with the brainwashed.

And income taxes isnt even the half of itliterally. Exxon also recorded more than $70 billion last year in sales taxes ($33.5 billion) and other taxes and duties ($43.5 billion). But none of that will matter to the president if gasoline prices keep climbing. Having been blocked on his Big Oil tax hike, dont be surprised if in the heat of the summer driving season he calls for a windfall profits tax on oil companies. The very concept implies that the companies are earning an unfairly high return. Sure Exxons and Chevrons net incomes are high. But so are their revenues! Exxons revenues were $486 billion and Chevrons were $254 billion. That implies an average net margin of just 10%.
Compare that with the $33 billion that Apple made in 2011 on $128 billion in revenues and Microsofts $23 billion income on $72 billion in sales. Those margins are 26% and 32%. And yet Apple enjoyed a low effective tax rate of 25% and paid a relatively meager $4 billion in income taxes, putting it in ninth place on our list of the biggest U.S. corporate taxpayers, while Microsoft had an effective rate of just 16% and paid $5.3 billion, placing it sixth. So why doesnt President Obama propose a windfall tax on Apple and go after its $100 billion cash hoard?

Why did you chop up the article.  I am not as stupid as you.

From your article sheep.
" So says the president, who in late March urged Congress to take away their tax breaks, insisting that doing so could bring in $25 billion in additional tax revenue over 10 years. They can stand with big oil companies, or they can stand with the American people, the president said."

The rest is spin.
