Hold on there, sonny... The "yesterday" was your premise. I challenged that. Now, step up.

The yesterday was not my premise, dumbass, it was Rubio's premise.

The article is about how the Rubio plan breaks from traditional Republican ideas regarding tax reform...

But actually he does not.

Here we go again.  Smiley  Reagan's policies created the economic boom of the 80s.  He raised taxes to keep up the payments on the government obligations of the social welfare state created by the democrats during the previous half century.

My reading of the article is that his stance is similar but he will not emphasize his tax plan as the main feature of his candidacy.

I read it somewhat differently..

Quote:
But as much as Rubio would cut taxes for the top, he wouldn't take rates back to the 25 percent level of the Roaring Twenties either only to where they were during George W. Bush's presidency. And he also wants a big tax cut for families, by expanding the Child Tax Credit and letting parents apply it against both income and payroll taxes. And for those two sins against the current Republican consensus, The Wall Street Journal editorial page declares Rubio "strong on foreign policy, less so on taxes" and disparagingly calls him the leading GOP proponent of the idea "that the Reagan tax-cutting agenda is a political dead end, and that the party now must redistribute revenue directly to middle-class families."

In Rubio's announcement to run for the president, he stated that Hillary is the candidate of yesterday. But in reality he is the one that insisted that the same old republican ideas are going to work. Take tax cuts for instance. His Reagan supply-side economics will reduce taxes for the very rich as well as increase the deficit. As it did during the Reagan years.

You would think you would at least READ the article you linked in your OP!! Here it the title!!
"Right-wing hostility to Marco Rubio's tax plan shows the GOP is stuck in the past"
Do you really think the "Right-wing" would be hostile if it was Ronnie's plan? Grin Grin Grin Grin

Regarding the policies of "yesterday": So we should embrace the policies of today?

Government-mandated health care?

Wealth redistribution?

Appeasing terrorist nations and organizations?

Supporting gay marriage?

No thanks.

Well, what are Hilary's policies? She won't tell us. Now why is that?

What's wrong with you Bert? We have to elect her before we know what here policies are.  Kinda like Nancy P when she said that they had to vote for Obama care before they read the bill and know what was in it.
