MSNBC meltdown: 'Media arm of DNC' in tailspin

Published: 1 day ago
By: Alex Newman

MSNBC, with its imploding ratings and extreme bias, is widely regarded as an irrelevant propaganda organ, even among many liberals and some radical leftists.

Its executives are fully aware of that, too.

But it did not have to be that way.

Founded by two major U.S. corporate powerhouses, Microsoft and General Electric’s NBC unit (now owned by Comcast), MSNBC had the potential to be hugely influential and profitable.

Instead, its executives chose ideology over business savvy, according to insiders and analysts. And the consequences are clear.

At the most fundamental level, MSNBC’s biggest problem is that nobody is watching; and if nobody is watching, the bottom line suffers. A recent ratings report showed MSNBC with only about one third of the viewers of Fox News, 351,000 compared to 1,047,000. And in the key 25-54 demographic it could report only 67,000, compared with Fox’s 217,000.

Well said .. however, the corrupt liberal news media does a lot of damage to political candidates who do not embrace their progressive liberal ideology, and the sad part of it is the fact that there are so many stupid and ignorant people who believe the leftist progressive news media.

Apologizing is fine, but, that's usually after the damage has already been done.  Wink

msnbc are radicals...by even cnn, I recall during the Kerry election...blitzer shouted out when the state tally's were coming in for a close state...."it looks like we won....."

I'll never forget that...he said "we" when a dem won a tight race in a state...I thought he'd be eaten alive...but never was reported on....

If their ratings are imploding they can't be doing MUCH damage. And the far left needs no help from MSNBC just as the far right needs none from Faux news. Both ignore facts.

Possibly the best public apology I have ever seen.

Elmer, .. Fox news is nowhere near as old as NBC, CBS, and ABC.

Fox news succeeded because those older news networks used to have a total media monopoly on the news, and not only that, but, they over the decades became so damn blatantly corrupt politically and ideologically that it was no longer a secret as to why they almost always support democrat party candidates, and it is even easier to see it today.

Those old alphabet networks will go to any length to smear any serious GOP candidate. -- over 4-5 decades ago, .. they did not do such things.

Today, it has become worse, and in the same vein, they now will even help protect most democrat party candidates by not running potentially politically damaging news stories. That is how Obama became president, because, most people had no real clue of his true roots of radicalism as well as his overblown embellished academian credentials, that to this very day cannot be independently or honestly substantiated.

You refuse to know the truth, so .. I am all done with wasting my time with you.   Wink
