1.  Watching dumb Americans vote based on political propaganda rather than research and intellectual debate.

2.  Watching dumb Americans try to legislate based on religious principles.

3.  George Bush going to war with Iraq for oil interests.

4.  Dumb Republicans and Retarded Democrats or anyone else with a blind political affiliation.  Mainly the religious based morons.

F*cking Bingo!!! Great post spec

1, 2 and 4 are not "events," Spatula. You accuse people of being "dumb" and "retarded," yet you don't even understand what "events" mean?

They are continues events. Events that are cause senseless harm.

I dont think any event shaped my political belief

Who do I agree with the most?

Growing up in a small town might have had something to do with it,

911, the war on terror, the patriot act, & the financial crisis.

The lessons I learned:

1. Governmental policy often has adverse unexpected consequences
2. Policy makers are pursuing something other than the common good

Possibly a bias disply there.

Maybe insert "sometimes" or "often" or even "usually"?

It's certainly not "always".

Jasmine..  Are you gonna 'splain to pat what an "event" is?

She could get it from the Oxford English Dictionary:

event.

noun.
A thing that happens.

I'm comfortable with those modifiers. There are exceptions.
