Trump's phone is still a security leak...

The problem is that Trump’s Android phone would be very simple to hack to provide precisely the sort of access described above. NPR dug into the question of how secure that phone might be, and Berkeley computer scientist Nicholas Weaver was blunt.

“Donald Trump for the longest time has been using a insecure Android phone that by all reports is so easy to compromise, it would not meet the security requirements of a teenager,” Weaver told NPR, and while he couldn’t say for sure, “we must assume that his phone has actively been compromised for a while, and an actively compromised phone is literally a listening device.”

1. Trump tweeted from his non-secured Android phone moments before his dinner with Abe (Japanese PM).

2. Trump and Abe began discussing intel and strategy around North Korea's recent missile test.

3. Trump's Android phone, by any real security standards, must be considered to be compromised and therefore a portable listening device.

Still thinking Hillary should be locked up?

Maybe not locked up, but held accountable for her negligence.  So should Trump.  This is negligent.  Neither should be president if they are going to be so unconcerned with their data and communication integrity.

How does the WP know which phone he tweeted from?

From the article...

Quote:
It’s not clear what phone Trump is using in that picture, but it’s known that he uses a relatively old Android device, even while serving as president. As we noted last week, Trump generally uses that device when he’s not in the middle of a work day. Shortly before the dinner with Abe, he tweeted from it.

So how do they know he actually tweeted from an old Android device, when after saying themselves it’s not clear what phone Trump was even using?

Current Androids and iPhones 'listen' all the time unless you know how to disable the feature..

The metadata would confirm which phone was used.

Do you have proof of that?

There would be an electronic record to show which device he used.
However this article isn't based on any of that data to confirm it.

There may be at twit central, but I doubt the information would be contained in metadata the WP has access to. I want Fiddler to show proof to back his statement.

Perhaps he should use "Moon over Alabama" as a valid resource.  Yes?
