When was America's golden age?

When was  America's golden age...the height of its economic advancement, it's geopolitical  power and influence, the historical period in which it commanded the most international respect?

Was it during its founding whereupon it founded the ideals espoused in the Constitution?

During the industrial revolution? The period of industrial inventions?

During its discovery and the settlement with the Mayflower compact?

In the civil war and its aftermath?

The time of the mass immigration during the late 1800s until the 1920's?

During wwI, or WWII?

During the 1950's-1960's?

During the Cold War?, the start of space exploration, the Peace Corps, the initiation and implementation of the National Science Foundation?

The Reagan years?

The Obama years.?

The best is yet to come?

There never was a pinnacle to America's founding through to today....it never was great.

Please defend your choice.

America was at its greatest during Reagan's administration. Since then, conservatism has been on a decline as the country suffered during the rise of the Clintons and Obamas. Conservatism has always been the building block of American society; its decline marks a step away from traditional American values towards socialism - a future which I would personally prefer to avoid.

So, you believe in that up until America succeeded in securing independence from Britain, that was America's golden age...while it was striving  to overthrow its rulers of colonialism? Then, you would have sided with those loyal to the Crown? Preferring to be governed by others. Interesting.

The best is yet to come!  I hate to even think that the U.S. can't or won't continue to grow, inventing and producing new products, better ways of accomplishing things, improvements in educational opportunities for all of our kids, not settling for the status quo in all things, etc.

This is the closest one

The Golden age of America?   Was when we decided , during and after we took on the greatest military in the world at the time and wore them out.

Sep 3, 1783 is the official end to the American revolution and very few Americans even know the date. It's planted in my head. Carved in stone

For the patriots that Fought and witnessed it, arguably the greatest thing  in the history of mankind, they tried to keep alive that very spirit in what was the American revolution by teaching school children Patrick Henry's "Give me liberty or give me death speech. Overtime this faded . Like Romance in a typical marriage.

Here's some men who knew this spirit if you care to look.

Not even close.

Oh yes Reagan, the buffoon that was also responsible for turning Calif Blue. Good Job Ronnie! Smiley

America was already over as far as our founders were concerned(that counts the most)
