Weird, but that the vibe I'm getting.  It's getting stronger.  Anybody else feel it?  I don't think The Donald is going to last a full term.

Greg

I've had that feeling since day one.

A big part of it is wishful thinking on my behalf but damn, dude is so outta his league. The GOP is committed to him though. They just spent the last two months kissing the ring and realizing that governing's harder than objecting. Big opportunity for them and Trump's killing their buzz. My prediction is the worm will finally turn AFTER the mid-terms. Until then they'll cry about the press coverage and avoid getting in Trump's cross-hairs.

Getting harder to defend the Orange Man though. It's embarrassing to witness.  Embarrassed

For too long have we sat under the thumb of mankind! The time has come to *oppose* that thumb!

I agree it came down to two piss poor options.  I will never understand how Trump was able to get the nomination AND be elected simply by pushing people's buttons.  That's all he did. Push buttons.

I personally don't either but I think people wanted an outsider in rather then another establisment rep.

The problem is something I stated very early on in the GOP primary that too many on both sides ignored, I said if Trump wins it would be because voters have had it with politicians who promise the world and deliver nothing.  That win was meant as a slap in the face of the establishment.  Dems did the same thing voting for Bernie.  Folks are fed up with the establishment dictating to us rather then representing us.

But this wasn't the guy. He will ultimately hurt the conservative movement more than he helps. More could have gotten accomplished with someone who had a modicum of control and basic understanding. The friggin guy gets his "intel" from Breitbart and Fox and Friends for Christ's sake. He has such a split with the entire US intel structure he can't function as President. There is going to be a major crisis, there always is. And you can't handle these things via twitter bombs. The last two months have been an unneeded sideshow. If he was a serious agent of change he would have been nose to the grindstone. But he isn't. Honestly, I think he was surprised he actually won. He ran a half-assed campaign for most of it, and got lucky with his timing in general and the fact that Hillary was such a shit candidate. His message resonated with just enough people at just the right time to squeak him into office, but he never actually had a plan. He is like the dog chasing the car. Never meant to catch that bumper. Now what? His "plan" just came together piecemeal via all the sycophants and people with ulterior motives that he surrounded himself with. Trump himself doesn't have an internal moral compass. He is not a visionary. He destroys things. He breaks them, but he can't create.
I am confident that Trump had no connection to the Russians. But I would not be surprised if various idiots in his earlier campaign acted on their own and tried to make deals. Too many idiots and not enough control from the top. Trump just made it worse with his bombastic bullshit public calls for Russia to hack Hillary's email. That's the kind of shit that makes it sticky. Was he serious, no. He was doing his pathetic populist demagogue shtick. But if shit was going on with the fringe people, those STUPID comments help get us to where we are today, the three-ring Trump circus. He was the wrong guy.

Before I address your link and the list, please clarify for me where I said "has not done anything". I look at my post and I see discussion of more being accomplished. So, before we go on, please help me to understand why you are attributing words to me that I didn't say. Please clear that up before we move on.

You are right, but you did say if he was serious agent of change he would put his nose to the grindstone and yet most of his accomplishments are serious changes.

I have a feeling he'll trudge through the four years and may leave with approval ratings that would make 2008 Bush look popular.

He's not likely to get very high approval ratings no matter what.
Even if his job performance is good, the negative political climate in general will affect his numbers.

Is this the same sort of vibe you had when you told people Trump was toast before the election?
