What to do in Syria

The Syrian democratic forces, and ISIS, are being bombed by the Syrian and Russian air forces.  The former should be provided weapons by the US to defend themselves.  One type that would be very useful is portable shoulder-launched anti-aircraft missiles, of which the US has a number of variants.

Syria was a waist. ISIS and now NK are more important.

To what end?

Syria was a "waist"?  And all this time I thought they were the armpit of the Middle East.

John, the word is "waste".  You using that old voice-recognition software again?

It didn't do much. It was a waste of time and energy. I didn't feel that way at 1st. But We have Iran, Russia, and China all worked up now. And NK doing their thing.

Why would we want to help ISIS? For that matter, why would we want to help the Syrians?

I know this isn't in the libertarian playbook, but it's to keep with America's tradition of aiding democratic forces when they fight against tyranny.
