The socialist candidate is the one favored by the polls.

We're going through a nationalist moment these days so I think Le Pen.

"In the first place, the dichotomy between "theoretical" and "practical" is a false one. In economics, all arguments are theoretical. And, since economics discusses the real world, these theoretical arguments are by their nature "practical" ones as well." M Rothbard

Le Pen and Macron go to the 2nd round.
Macron wins and becomes president in 2nd round.

Le Pen is the worst possible choice, she has no clue.

That's pretty much what I figured.

I hope so!  It will be a bigger shake up than BREXIT and will underscore why Trump was really elected (and that it wasn't the friggin Russians, who no doubt are spreading propaganda to try to influence French voters)

The political Left want to deflect all they can from the real reason people are turning to the RIGHT is because they are sick and tired of the policies of the left!

Are you saying that the shake up caused by Brexit is, in your view,  a good thing or that Brexit itself is a good thing?

Under Communism, it's the exact opposite.
