LOL.

I know you've said in the past that you had a farm that keeps you busy, but color me JEALOUS of your 100 acres.

Here at the edge of downtown I though I was pretty set with 1/3 acre (most lots here are half that). It's enabled me to further my old car hobby as well as plant a variety of fruit trees and usually a veggie crop (this past year no veggies, just kind of burnt out on that). But I got good yields of several types of oranges, as well as avocados, peaches, grapes, figs. The big problem is I have more fruit trees still in pot than in the ground. I'd have to sacrifice some needed veggie garden space to plant them, or start raising the veggies in pots instead (not so great for tomatoes, I understand). The good side is it's all paid off and I can retire puttering around the  house and garden.

Some day.

We currently have 103+ acres with old forests and alpine meadows,
cliffs and cataracts and ravines and waterfalls and a trout stream.
We've planted hundreds of blueberries, and dozens of apples,
pears, peaches, plums and cherries. Unfortunately, I've started
this year to fall behind my schedule, so a decision to give up
something to have the thing I most want is coming. I've proven
all I need to prove in my chosen vocation, and this monstrosity
of a house is becoming more a millstone around my neck than it is
a place of refuge. I believe that by this time next year, I may have
sold my business, sold this house and built a home on my land.
I'll then try to acquire the 30+ acres adjoining it which are
currently for sale, as we have right of first refusal should the
current owner ever receive an offer. I'm thinking of getting
one of those Go Pros or the like and wearing it when I go hiking.
If I ever do, I'll try to figure out how to post the video so that
you can see it. Of course, you are always welcome to stop in and visit.
