FBI conducted predawn raid of former Trump campaign chairman Manafort’s home

FBI agents raided the Alexandria home of President Trump’s former campaign chairman late last month, using a search warrant to seize documents and other materials, according to people familiar with the special counsel investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

Federal agents appeared at Paul Manafort’s home without advance warning in the predawn hours of July 26, the day after he met voluntarily with the staff for the Senate Intelligence Committee.

The search warrant was wide-ranging and FBI agents working with special counsel Robert S. Mueller III departed the home with various records...

I would have assumed Manafort already destroyed all incriminating evidence but perhaps they are looking for those gaps as much as anything.

Wait for the Trump enterprises raids. It is coming. They will go after all evidence of Russian investment.

You don't know if there was incriminating evidence.

For example, given the large number of emails that came missing. I suspected something incriminating may have been there. However, I certainly haven't sworn that to be the case as you suggested earlier. I'm open to the possibility Manafort destroyed documents. However, unlike with Clinton, I haven't seen anything confirming what they took from the raid was missing something, leading me to suspect part of it was indeed destroyed.

Well, Federal agents appeared at Paul Manafort’s home without advance warning in the predawn hours and seize documents and other materials.  Raid's like that is usually not granted by a judge unless the request is pretty convincing.

Still haven't heard anything about any indictments coming from the raid on Huma Abedin's husband's (yes, she was still married to Anthony Weiner at the time) home by the FBI.  They seized a computer that we were told contained classified wmails from Hillary Clinton's server.  Whazzup Wdi Dat!  (Anthony Wiener isn't even a government employee and was certainly subject to blackmail for our country'secrets, while he was under criminal indictment for sexting with a teenage girl.

I wouldn't get all wet in the britches or have a tingle down my leg just because the FBI raided Manafort's home and seized some records.

BTW, investigations often will turn up something on someone unrelated to the investigation and then they can use the cloud of indictment to try to flip someone from being a target to becoming a witness for the prosecution.  This doesn't mean that Manafort has anything on anyone.  It simply means that this investigation is being conduct jsut as such investgations are suppose to be conducted (as far as process and procedures).

Too bad, they didn't investigate Hillary Clinton with the same vigor, though!
