I agree. That's why they still make vinyl records, two decades (nearly three) after the invention of the mp3 player.

True.  Technology won't erase everything

Oh, I like downloading music on my iPad. You can browse for whatever songs you want - it's all at your fingertips. And unlike LPs, you can only purchase certain songs if you like; you don't have to buy the whole thing. I can do a search for, say, "Crazy on You," and iTunes will load up every version of the song you can imagine. It's all very cool and convenient.

Not as convenient, but still like vinyl anyway.

I like downloading music and audiobooks for convenience but I have to actually physically possess the cd, lp and book.

I felt that way for a long time, too, but now I think CDs and DVDs take up too much space. I do prefer reading actual books, however. I have a few digital books, but mostly I have hardcovers and paperbacks.

That's what I love. I have a library just for music. Four walls covered in bookcases full of cds and lps and bookcases all over the house full of books.

Wow, that's awesome!

I'm into my "minimalist" mode now. I stored all my old CDs, DVDs and books into boxes and put them in the closet. My bedroom is now pretty barren. No TV, no stereo, no computer...nothing.  Smiley
