I don't think Trump wants to lose this Trumper

I thought I would help Stu out since he didn't post this Grin

Quote:

One of President Donald Trump's closest supporters had some critical things to say about the man occupying the Oval Office in a new interview.

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich appeared on "The Laura Ingraham Show" Friday and said Trump's verbal attacks on Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell are the wrong approach to attempting to pass legislation on Capitol Hill.

"I don't think it makes any sense. First of all, 49 out of the 52 Republicans voted yes [to keep McConnell as majority leader]," Gingrich said. "All these conservatives decided to pick a fight with McConnell, they're not out picking a fight with the 10 Democrats from states Trump carried.

"I think it's totally misplaced. And furthermore, McConnell's going to still be there. You don't pick a fight with a guy you need as a teammate, and they're not going to replace McConnell. And so I don't understand what the president thinks he's accomplishing."

Luther, .. I am GLAD that Trump has spoken out critically of McConnell. McConnell seems to believe that he should snail walk the things that the overwhelming Trump supporters want to get done.

.. And lets stop kidding yourself, .. McConnell behaves MORE like a Rino establishment person, whereas, all he cares about is his reelection.

McConnell, in many GOP's people opinion, should NOT be in a leadership position, and I agree.  Sad

Yes, .. I always liked Gingrich, but, I will disagree with Gingrich on this one.  Cool

Keep in mind, Trump supporters have a somewhat different definition of conservatism and RINO than what people are used to over the last 15 to 20 years. It's like Wally supporting raising taxes on the rich. The ground has shifted. Populist "conservatism" ain't the same.

Me and you are complete opposites Ideology wise but what you said make a lot of sense.

I could not believe Wally Watering down the 'tax on the rich' thing. Or lady Crepe folding like a folding chair on Amnesty for dreamers.
