I'm a die hard Star Trek fan, but I'm not gonna fall for CBS's trick. And I kinda feel insulted that the producers of the show would allow that kinda thing. It's so un-Star Trekish. What do you think? Have I misunderstood something like you can get episodes faster on CBS all access, or wait till they come out on regular TV the following week?

You're telling me that you can't wait a week?

Re-read my post.  IF the only way to get episodes past the pilot is to sign up for CBS All Access, then that's a deal breaker for me. And I'm pissed at the producers then too. BUT if all it means is that I have to wait a week, no biggie. BUT I think it's the former.

I'd rather watch "Star Trek Continues".
Vic Mignogna makes a more convincing Kirk than Chris Pine.
Also having Chris Doohan playing Scotty is a big plus as well.

Binged on Discovery last week. (no I don't have CBS All Access) but someone recorded them for me.
It rocks, I'm a fan.  I heard some bad reviews so wasn't sure what to expect. The captain of Discovery is a complex dude and
a kick*ss character. Some very interesting twists.  I've watched 13 episodes.

Yeah, not only is that guy from the mirror universe but now he's dead as well!

That's some complex dude!

Well at least for now, anything's possible when there are an infinite number of parallel Universes.  Grin

Yeah, that's the thing with Star Trek... You can never be sure that someone is completely dead.

You got Michael Burnham saving and bringing back her former captain's double for sentimental reasons.  Strange since the mirror universe captain is a genocidal empress from a Fascist xenophopic Earth.  Will be interesting to see how that plays out and how she adjusts to the more inclusive Federation.
