EPA Announces end of Obama's "Clean Power Plan"

Why should Americans suffer higher utility prices and manufacturing costs (and inflation on manufactured goods) by requiring ourselves to do far more than our competitor nations?

Say goodbye to the Dream of Obama's Daddy (Globalism in the Lead and the United States taking a back seat to everyone else)

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/oct/9/scott-pruitt-announces-end-clean-...

The DEEP STATE (including RINOS) are going to push back real hard (since even many in the GOP have been heavenly invested in the concept of Globalism even at the expense of America's best national interests!)

Outstanding.

American corporations have hedged their bet and developed the "green energy" sales pitch to improve their bottom line as they've gone along to get along with the DEEP STATE and  the media and the rest of the Left's agenda.

I expect when they feel secure in doing so, they will drop the bullshit and go the way they would prefer to go.  However, they need to feel that they won't fall victim to the propaganda wars (as the GOP have been too cowardly to stand up for themselves, yet alone for any corporations who don't join in the publican lexicon of the ultra far left!

One step closer to the far-right's goal of turning the U.S. into a 3rd world country.

The United States no longer leads the world in cutting edge technology (except killing machines of course).  We already buy the vast majority of our technology from Asian nations. (except for the aforementioned killing machines).  It's just a matter of a decade or two before we're forced to buy our energy production tech from the Chinese, the Japanese or from India.

This doesn't even address the increase in medical costs this vote for a more contaminated environment will impose on Americans.

But who knows.  Maybe Trump will toss out paper towels batteries to the victims of his mismanagement.

We sit on one of the worlds largest coal reserves in the world and it is very cheap.  Until technology catches up and energy is cheap, it is insane to think we should never tap our abundant resource for use.  I could point out that cheap energy benefits the poor who have limited income and can not afford driving up energy costs simply for the greenies.

They lecture us about how we do not care for the poor and underclass and then demand green energy that is costly and inefficient which drives up the cost of living for the very same class of people they claim we do not care about.  Amazing.

Sure Wally.  It's not like everyone already knows that the right despises education which probably has a lot to do with why the idiots think 'compromise' is a 4 letter word.

Yes..I understand that ignorant people are still pushing coal.

This is why, despite the fact that renewables took the lion's share of new electrical generating capacity installed last year, it was natural gas that seized the largest share of power production from coal utilities. EIA numbers show that between 2014 and 2015, the amount of power generated from coal in the U.S. fell by 226,000 gigawatt-hours (GWh). At the same time, the amount of power produced from natural gas increased by 208,000 GWh. Renewables, on the other hand, contributed a mere 10,000 GWh year-over-year increase.

Not only does coal have a high CO2 footprint, but it also has a lot of harmful chemicals. You will be driving up medical costs, shortening life expectancy instead, and decreasing quality of life. For a wealthy nation, these should be more important than having a slightly cheaper source of energy.

Given how plentiful natural gas has become and how much lower its environmental cost is, it makes a lot more sense to focus on more on natural gas than on coal.
