The Marxist have succeeded in infiltrating our schools, Hollywood and news media to the point that the little heads of mush have been indoctrinated into never look at anything bad about the reality of communism and socialism,,,just HOPE and DREAM and BELIEVE in everything their mentors have told them about the evils of capitalism versus the 'fairness' of communism and how terrible the United States of America is  (and hate the cops and the military and anything Republican)

It's the economy, stupid.

Economist, Milton Friedman would agree with you. These competing economic systems lead to predictable outcomes...

Well that is true to some degree but there are good pro-capitalist, pro-market reasons for wanting to radically alter the relationship between the cops and the citizens.

One of the big complaints against the law that the police enforce is that it is often at odds with private property rights and that they use violence against peaceful people. That is very socialistic.

So it seems to me a fully private property (and capitalistic) centric politics would necessarily involve agitating for a reduction in the scope of police authority.

And without that component, I do not see how a robust defense of capitalism is possible.

But I would agree with your general point that it is beyond dumb to want to turn away from capitalism and embrace socialism. You have to be ignorant of economics and history to have that view.

Give them a free ticket to China, Cuba, Venezuela, or North Korea, as long as they can't come back.

Well, most Millennials live with their parents, so in a way they are already living in socialism.

I think you may have something there (about them living with or simply sponging off) their parents.  Their parents became adults at eighteen, now they are "children" until age 26, by some sleight of hand by our Federal government.  Accordingly, they act about eight years younger in their maturity and they way they view the world. (eighteen going on ten..)

I'm not. Police departments are local entities. What do you want, federal control?
