Donald Trump is the President of the United States.  It would be historic to see any President step down from their High Office and trivialize their Presidency by exercising their individual civil right to redress of torts committed against him during the course of an election.  It have never been done before, even though I'm sure throughout history President's have had just cause to take people to court for their wrongful acts.  Untruths and slander have been the fodder of many a political campaign.  Presidents have had to ignore them and get on with conducting the nation's business.

Unlike Presidents, politicians of lower rank often use the law to settle disputes.  When dueling was a legal form of redress, Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr did jsut that!

funny stuff, that!  that's about all he's done with his impulsive tweeting!

Of course you are assuming he will drop it, I do not.  These allegations cropping up just before the vote has a distinct pattern we have witnessed for decades.  I have doubts and suspect that this is a smear campaign then it is about the truth and we can cite multiple times the Dems were willing to lie to affect the campaign of those they did not want in office, ie. Reid about Romney.

We'll see.  I bet he drops it, too.  Elected or not.

yes and no.  The more other celebrities and important people use this new communication medium (twitter), the more we see others impulsively putting out things they probably regret having posted (the same can be said with other forms of social media, such as facebook and even forums, such as this).  Even the Pope has tweeted some things that he might otherwise have never said publicly!

While Trump certainly does overtweet.  The use of twitter has proven an important means of mass communication which bypasses the "filter industry" of what's been known as "the fourth estate".  All President's have made gaffs in their off teleprompter and hot mic utterances (Obama certainly made some whoppers).  The era of Presidential tweeting (as well as other politicians) has come. It is a new form of speaking on the stump, in the Public Square  Back in the Days of Old, someone could get yanked off the stump and tar and feathered or lynched for their regrettable utterances,  Nowadays, it's the OLD MEDIA that selectively tar & feathers tweeting heretics, like Donald Trump (while giving other a pass)

Time will tell but the only thing I know about him is he professes to be a follower of Christ and has come under intense scrutiny.  I will lean his way until proven otherwise.

Not saying this is true in the case of the Judge, but Jesus says this about many self-professed followers of Christ:

No it doesn't. He is doing it for show before the election. He will drop it after.

Spot on.  He won't sue them (the Post or the accusers) for the same reason Trump won't sue the many women who've pointed the same finger at him -- he'd be opening himself to legal discovery.  That means documents, testimony, communications, going back decades -- all brought out into the light of legal scrutiny.

Moore will definitely not put himself through that.

No Elmer..  Nascent Christianity only lasted about 300 years.

It was perverted into the Romanized version we're familiar with in the 4th century ..
