I think Franken, like Conyers, fully intends to resign. He’s just doing it in a way that makes him seem like a victim rather than a perpetrator. Weak.

I maintain that there is no *ONE WAY* to resolve every sexual harassment charge. A “cookie cutter” solution may be the easiest way to handle it, but it would be the lazy and ultimately wrong way.

As I said before, each case needs to be looked at separately, on its own merit (or lack thereof).

No all accusations are true. Not all of them are false.

No political party gets to claim the moral high ground. History clearly shows that.

If Moore is elected, there is really very little that the Senate can do.

They can not just not seat him, regardless of what Mitch McConnell said.  What right do Senators from any other state have to interfere in the choice of Senator made by the citizens of any other State.

The Constitution gives the each house of Congress the power to expel members, which is presumably what McConnell meant.

"Each House may determine the Rules of its Proceedings, punish its Members for disorderly Behaviour, and, with the Concurrence of two thirds, expel a Member." Article I section 5

Good chance that is exactly what is going on but I suspect if Moore wins he will still go. The dems think they have the higher moral ground if Moore stays and they can use him as their whipping boy next year and in 2020.

Anonymous sources have said the GOP is hoping for a Moore victory so he can resign and the Republican Governor of Alabama can name a replacement. Word is it will be Jeff Sessions and Trump can choose a new Attorney General.

This would be the best solution; far better than the media and George Soros picking Alabama's next Senator.

Do the name Adam Clayton Powell ring a bell?

(Or, am I the guy who shit his pants on 9/11 and spent the entire GWOT behind the safety of his monitor?  I can never remember.)
