" President Trump said Wednesday that it’s “unlikely” he would agree to answer questions from special counsel Robert Mueller, given that there is no proof of collusion between his campaign and Russia.

“When they have no collusion … it seems unlikely that you’d even have an interview,” Mr. Trump said at a White House news conference.

The president said he would be willing to “speak to attorneys” without clarifying. "

“I can only say this, there was absolutely no collusion,” Mr. Trump said. “There has been no collusion between the Trump campaign and Russians, or between Trump and Russians, no collusion.”

*************************************************************************

If Mueller wants to make a case to try to take down the President, he's going to have to do it without the sort of entrapment he used to snare Flynn on a process crime, which had nothing to do with the Russia Collusion "matter" Mueller was suppose to be investigating.  After the exposure of the political bias of the people Mueller had conducting his interviews (with Flynn, as well as others), only an idiot would sit down with such people and think they have nothing to lose and will be treated fairly.

What is a "process crime"?  Seems like you're using that term to water down Flynn's guilty plea.  And yes, he pleaded guilty.  His crime was lying to the FBI, about conversations with the Russian ambassador.

How did they get him to plead guilty?  They had evidence that he lied on his official forms regarding foreign lobbying.  Lobbying that was done in Turkey on behalf of Russians.  Who paid him repeatedly and generously.  And for whom he exerted his official powers as head of the NSC.

Flynn didn't go on a fishing trip.  He campaigned to trade his testimony in exchange for immunity.  They gave him the lesser option of pleading guilty to a lesser crime -- he is still vulnerable to prosecution if he is caught lying again (one of his frequent pastimes).

Informally, in criminal procedure, process crime is an offense charged by a prosecutor alleging criminal conduct related to an investigation of a crime, but not to the crime itself. Examples include obstruction of justice, perjury before a grand jury and misprision of a felony.

In Flynn's case, his process crimes were directly related to Russia.  Not so much "process" as "crime".  He apparently agreed, because he pled guilty.

His crime, lying to the FBI, has no relation to the investigation into Trump colluding with Russia to win the election poor put upon Hillary lost.

If Trump is subpoenaed to appear in front of the grand jury he will have no choice and no lawyers will be present. But will Mueller play that card? Maybe at the end. I recall Trump saying he would talk to Mueller and answer all his question because he had done nothing wrong. Now not so much? Trump's lawyers are well aware that Trump under oath would be a disaster of the first order.

The person charged with the crime doesn't normally appear before the grand jury.

As you are aware, Flynn was a member of Trump's campaign and held high office in the Trump administration.  And his process crime in this case was lying about the work he did for the Russians.  I don't see how this is unrelated.  Mueller is investigating collusion between the Trump campaign (including Flynn) and Russia (whom Flynn worked for).

Nope, he pled guilty for lying to the FBI about a conversation with the Russian Ambassador he had every right to have.

Can you really blame Trump? Mueller was hired to look into collusion between Russia and Trump so far he's been on a fishing trip Yes he got Flynn and Manafort on unrelated charges so if Trump agrees to meet with Mueller I'm sure Mueller will be on a real short leash.
