Did Trump's personal lawyer do free legal work for Hannity in exchange for good coverage and TV treatment?

That is highly doubtful, for one reason: Hannity would easily be a Trump hack for free.

Nothing major on the Hannity bit actually. It's just funny they tried to use Hannity. So Hannity got outed and they lost their bid to keep it all secret anyway.

Tried to use Hannity?

What "famous" lawyer?  He's only had three clients.  Trump and Hannity seemed to be two of them.

Greg

He has very famously been involved with Trump and his businesses for quite some time.  Check out his wikipedia page.  He's done interviews for years regarding different stories surrounding Trump, has run for various political offices and worked as an operative for a campaign to draft Trump to run for president back in 2012.  Anyone who follows the Trump name closely would have known all about him as far back as 2006 and many people who didn't follow closely, probably also knew of him.

Only 3 clients?  Ever?  Who told you that?

They were claiming a breach in attorney client privilege would impact many people. Judge pushed and said who? Cohen's lawyers said hundreds (but no names) or some such bullshit. Judge asked how Cohen's attorney got that number. He couldn't answer. Judge said client list on Monday or GTFO. Client list ended up with 3. So the warrants would adversely impact his client list! Not.

Hannity Statement:

Quote:
“Michael Cohen has never represented me in any matter. I never retained him, received an invoice, or paid legal fees. I have occasionally had brief discussions with him about legal questions about which I wanted his input and perspective,” he tweeted. “I assumed those conversations were confidential, but to be absolutely clear they never involved any matter between me and a third-party.”

Then why did Cohen's lawyers try to hide Hannity as a client and why did they say he was? Someone is lying.  Wink

Either someone is lying or Cohen has a strange definition of what a client is.

My initial impression is that Hannity is telling the truth, if only because he's already in trouble and it would be career suicide if he compounded his problem by lying about it. He claims that Cohen never billed him, and adds that he never paid Cohen. That should be easily verifiable if Hannity is lying. Hannity is a hack, but he isn't dumb.

But we'll see.

Odd that a lot of people that Cohen shells out money for don't seem to pay him.  Like $130,000 for Trump that he claimed he never got paid.  Wonder if he had a deal like that with Hannity.  Seems Cohen specialized in paying off women.

Maybe Hannity was born in Russia!
