I can't imagine telling a woman, "just abort it, you will never be capable of taking care of a child and no one in your family or community will care to help you."

What a f**cked up way to view people and world!

No ones tell a woman that.  that is her own decision to make.

There you go assuming sh*t again.  I never said that.  I only asked, if that is her worry and you are not willing to help her, then why are you so concerned about her having a baby that may have complications after birth due to lack of health care and poverty.  As I indicated in the sources I posted.

You expressed anger that these woman were given a choice in the first place. It's BS, remember?

You swore they would never be so "indecisive"  as to be swayed by the power of hearing their child's heartbeat.

And you assured us that it was more humane to simply kill the would-be baby than to look to community and family to support it, or to put it up for adoption.

And you certainly did not think these women were capable of raising kids themselves.

I find that a very narrow minded view as someone who was raised by a single mother and who watched her work and save to make sure we could survive.

Or I could talk about my grandmother and her 3 daughters who she raised by herself, while working multiple jobs and sacrificing through some very hard times.

If they had your view they would have simply aborted these children. But then I wouldn't be here. My daughter wouldn't be here.

The fact is they struggled to give me a better life than they had. And this story happens all over, in cities and states all across this country, not to mention the rest of the world.

These folks don't need fatalism. They don't need to be sold on their own shortcomings.

They need to be shown their own power so they can rise to the situation and be effective in their lives. They need help, yes, but that can come in many forms. And you have to first help yourself.

I am not angry.  I only stated that preventing abortions is not necessarily saving babies.

Sure. It takes more than giving birth to raise a child. But having kids is the essential first step.

No one has argued that people should just abandon others after they give birth.

That is why so many of us are so confused by your posts in this thread. It just comes off as someone who is pro-abortion no matter what.

I can't imagine being triggered by the story of an uncertain single mother choosing life and avoiding what will almost certainly be a tragic mistake in her life.

Most people would rather struggle with their kids than without them.

Not in every single case, but stated broadly, preventing 100 abortions is allowing something close to 100 babies to live.
Which do you think have a higher life expectancy?
A. Fetuses undergoing abortions
B. Children who are born without having been aborted

This is getting surreal. Is this a prank?
