O.K.  I'll admit that this is the first that I've heard about whatever is going on, and I listened to the MSNBC guy talking about the vote to "rebuke" President Trump, and I wondered if that rebuke and a dollar and a half will buy me a cup of coffee.

Did President Trump say that we are pulling out of NATO?  I looked all over msnbc page and didn't see anything about us pulling out.  Yesterday I heard President Trump reiterating that the NATO nations need to pay their allotted share of the bill so that we don't have to be paying more than our share to cover the welchers.    That seems fair to me.

What have I missed that got the Senate so angry?  Just what does a rebuke mean?  Just what did they rebuke him for?

Adnd still/again you have nothing substantial to offer; just insults.  I asked a couple of questions.  Do you have any answers?

Friends don't renege on financial agreements.

Trump's friend Putin screws with our elections and hacks our systems. And Trump LOVES the guy. Funny isn't it.

I would like to know the names of the two that didn't fall for this sham.

Rand Paul and Mike Lee (Roll Call Vote 149).

It wasn't Trump that made the agreement with these other countries as to what their share of payment was going to be to NATO, Trump is the only one with the balls to call them on it. GOP is so used to losing, they don't know how to win....it seems they're afraid of it.

First, Trump isn't the only President who has brought up this issue (he's just been the most vociferous). Second, it's already been pointed that they're increasing their military spending (you yourself noted that yesterday) and are on target meet the 2 percent goal by the 2024 deadline agreed upon. So, why suddenly demand they further increase spending (up to 4% of GDP) with the implied threat of US withdrawal? What is the goal here? What are we expecting to get out of NATO? What do we want them to do? Does it really help us if nations like Greece spend more on salaries and pensions?

Is this agreement actually a good measure of NATO members contributions? As pointed out above Greece is meeting their commitment, but most of their spending is going to salaries and pensions. See this critique of the 2 percent agreement I posted yesterday:

Anybody who has been following the news, or reading the linked article, would know these answers.

If not, Google is your friend. Try using it some time.
