Last night we went to the one-night-only showing of "350 Days," a documentary about the life of a professional wrestler. The two-hour film features interviews with tons of former wrestling greats, including Superstar Billy Graham, Greg Valentine, Ted DiBiase, Paul Orndorff, Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka, Ox Baker, Wendi Richter, James J. Dillon, Lex Luger, Slick, Lanny Poffo and many, many others.

"350 days" refers to the the average amount of days a pro wrestler devotes to the business (wrestling, traveling, training, etc.). Several facets are touched on, including travel, drugs and alcohol, steroids, injuries, groupies, effect on family life, the wrestling fraternity and fan attacks.

The movie completely focuses on the olden days of wrestling. No current wrestlers are featured, nor does the movie really address how much the industry has changed.

Lots of photos are included, and some vintage footage. But most of the film consists of the interviews. It's almost like one of those "VH1 Behind the Music" documentaries.

Overall, I'm glad we went. It was interesting enough. But as a lifelong pro wrestling fan, I didn't really learn anything I didn't already know. The film was also about 15-20 minutes too long, I think.

If you love pro wrestling, I would recommend renting "350 Days" when it's available on DVD or for digital download. It's not a film I would especially need to keep in my collection, though.

2.5 out of 4 stars.
