Tell me what specifically turned you off, because I know it was not Jesus nor his words, what was it that affected you?

Ben Franklin, the forgotten Rock star in the 1700's before George Washington(also forgotten) was a Deist

Thomas Paine who was greatly the cause of us going for Independence and later saving it when all Hope was lost was a Deist Wink

Washington was NOT a deist.

George Washington was firmy rooted and attributed many of his events to Divine Providence.  The book Sacred Fire documents his amazing faith.  it is one of the most documented research of this man's faith with over 400 pages of referrences to material that originated from his letters and others.

I know, I am simply further validating why I do not believe he is a deist for others who have and will claim otherwise.
