Are you arguing that the Soviet Union would have eagerly granted a private business an exemption from anti-trust laws?

I said Kremlin.

Not Soviet Union.

Anyone is free to start his own professional football league at any time. Vince McMahon is doing it. The NFL is a singular business that competes with other forms of entertainment, sports or otherwise.

Nope.

If that were true, it wouldn't have taken a socialist act of Congress to approve the merger of the NFL and AFL.

Bzzzt.

Not all conservatives demanded a boycott, The conservatives on this site defended each NFL team having the right to do what they chose being a private entity.

Yes, and consumers of sports TV have a right to patronize whom THEY want to.  Also drop the "private entity" stuff.  The NFL is a government-permitted monopoly.

If you want to kneel then kneel. If  you kneel and there is blow-back keep your mouth shut and endure the blow-back. It's not really a protest if you whine about the results of the protest. Aside from that shut and plat ball. That's what you are paid to do.

The only whining I've heard is from right wingers who are oh so offended by a few players kneeling during the anthem.

I quit watching the NFL long before the "taking a knee" bs.

I like a balanced game not all offense.  The rule changes started favoring the offence  to make the game "more exciting" and I lost interest.

Also was the free agency rules which really screwed up any semblance of loyalty to a team. You never know from season to season if your favorite player will be on your favorite team.

Yeah, all good points

For me, I stopped watching before all this kneeling BS started as well, but mor because they're over paid cry babies

Of course, they have the right for whatever $ someone will pay them, but, I also have the right to disagree Wink
