A number of years ago, the wife and I went to Austin for a George Romero film event and watched Night of the Living Dead in a pasture on a farm with a couple hundred fans. It was geeky but fun.

Whoa. Was it at night? I would be freaking out!

I can't simply do genres because my interests are varied. For me it's all about the writing and the acting.

Army of Darkness
12 Angry Men
To Kill A Mockingbird
Phantasm
The Life of Brian
The Kingsmen
Bullitt
High Plains Drifter
The Warriors
Machete
Dog Day Afternoon
Dr. Quartermass and the pit (Hammer version)

I'm all over the place.

I haven’t seen any of those. I’m pretty boring.  Smiley

Yep, it started a midnight. I remember some fog as well. It was awesome.

I'm a fan of all of those movies, except the Kingsmen. Seems you enjoy cult films as much as I do.

As far as the Kingsmen goes I just really like Colin Firth and Michael Caine. Samuel Jackson's character was interesting because he's the bad guy but you can't help but like him a bit.

Basically if the snobby critics trash a film I tend do get intrigued.

I generally like Samuel Jackson, too. The only thing he has done that I thought really sucked was The Spirit 2008. What a stinker that movie was!

Yeah, I take them with a grain of salt. The critics hated Cloud Atlas but I thought it was great. Avatar got stellar reviews and I thought it was marginal at best.

It's all so subjective.

I wonder what happens when a zombie meets a vampire on the black star and captain Kirk plus Superman come along...

Favorite genre? That's a tough one, since I like most of them.  Number 1 probably sci-fi, futuristic, apocalyptic type movies ...Also a big fan of gangster movies, Godfather series, Casino, Goodfellas and the like.
But also like a good comedy.
Old Westerns if I'm in the mood..
