TV viewing habits

What are your TV viewing habits? How many hours of TV do you watch every week?

I used to watch a lot of TV, but my habits have definitely changed. Nowadays, there is only one show I make a point to watch, and that's "The Walking Dead." And even then, half the time I'll watch it later on my iPad.

I don't watch any other sit-com or drama or reality TV show. Just "TWD."

I will watch Fox News on occasion, especially "Gutfeld" on the weekends.

I don't watch the local news at all.

Overall, I'd say I watch less than 3 hours of TV a week. My iPad has pretty much taken all my free time.

I have Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime and HBO Now.

I grab shows and watch them periodically.  I haven't actually sat down in front of the TV now for about a month.  I generally watch on my iPad before bed.

I just have to say Bama.   And I'm not looking to argue or pick on you here on the Entertainment boards.

I'm saying this with love.

And I say this with all honesty and with as much sympathy for you as I can.

Rachel Maddow is one of the smoothest and most accomplished conspiracy theorists on the airwaves today.  Nearly every episode (I listen to the podcast version) I keep expecting her during one of her dramatic storytelling moments to ask "Could it be .... SATAN???"  Nearly every episode has a moment where that would fit perfectly.

Twenty years from now when I'm writing a book based on all my notes and observations over the past 3 years ... I'll be assigning a great deal of blame to Rachel Maddow for the destruction of the Democratic party as a national entity.

A lot of my friends and family have Netflix or Hulu. It seems to be the future of TV watching.

The only subscription I have is to the WWE Network. $9.99 a month, and worth every penny. I have access to all the past PPVs (from WWE, WCW, AWA, etc.), original programming, plus live PPVs. If I have nothing else to do, I watch it and could be entertained for hours.

I also use my iPad to purchase movies. My most recent purchase was "Hotel Transylvania 3." And I download almost every episode of "The Walking Dead." That way, I have my favorite show anytime I want.

I don't watch much during the workweek but tend to bing on weekends, especially in the winter.
I watch TWD and also FTWD.  I watch the Vikings. I watched that new Yellowstone series.
I watch the NE Patriots when they are on.
On weekends I bing watch some Netflix series.
I hate sitcoms. I think Seinfeld is the only one I've ever enjoyed and watched regularly.
During the work week on my time off I mostly cruise youtube. I'm addicted to DIY channels. People making stuff via welding, woodworking, blacksmithing etc.

I wonder what the future holds for TV. It seems fewer people are watching. Instead, people are turning to subscription-based digital content.

Again, I subscribe to the WWE Network. That's $10 a month.

DC Comics has its own digital subscription service. So does Fox News and ESPN. I think they are about $5 a month. CBS has its own digital service. Disney is going to come out with their own, too.

And, of course, you have Hulu and Netflix.

If you subscribed to all of these digital services, that'd be about $75 a month, tops. You then could disconnect your cable and save money that way.

I guess I'm a TV Dinosaur. I love my 46" TV and sound bar. I  watch local news at least once a day, and about 3-4 hours of broadcast/cable TV or a movie most evenings. I never had the time before retiring, and just simply enjoy being entertained at my leisure now. I've tried watching Amazon Prime on my PC, but really don't like the smaller screen and poorer audio. I also never watch zombies.  Cheesy

Ha ha! Smiley

I just like curling up in bed with my comfy blanket over me, and I watch stuff on my iPad until I get sleepy. Sometimes I nod off, and the iPad smacks me in the face.

LOL that happens to me nearly every night.  The first time it happened my wife laughed and laughed and still makes fun of me.

A warning Jasmine.  I'm 48.  I was just diagnosed with macular degeneration in my left eye.  There's a bubble in the center of my vision out of that eye.  Nothing they can do about it, it's just going to get worse as I age.  I was told to start taking this experimental vitamin supplement for ocular health.

I've started turning off the blue light on my Ipad.  Safety first!
