Were there any events that had a big influence on the political beliefs you have today?

The way our country is more and more divided, do you foresee another civil war coming?

Ronald Reagan!!!!    I had previously been a registered Independent and I registered as a Republican to vote against Bob Dole and George HW Bush, as much as so I could vote for Ronald Reagan in the primary.  Reagan sort of grew on me (and I grew with him).  So I'd have to say that it was the election of Ronald Reagan that most influenced my political beliefs.

No.  Not a Civil War.  However, I could see President Trump compelled to nationalize the national guard, as JFK did in the southern states against Democrats who did just what California is on path to do.  Even if a majority of citizens of a state want to ignore our nation's laws, all persons living in every state are entitled to equal protection under the 14th Amendment. They are citizens of the United States of America (not only California)   Any such action  would be to ensure the equal protection of such citizens civil rights that the Federal government could use whatever force it deems necessary and appropriate.  The Democrats blinked  in Mississippi (and other southern states) and I don't think Californian Liberal Democrats are going to take up arms, when even the armed Democrats in the petulant southern states did not!

Boxers or briefs?

Says the guy who "lost his shit after January 20, 2009."
(Or, am I the guy who shit his pants on 9/11 and spent the entire GWOT behind the safety of his monitor?  I can never remember.)

I'll be brief...

and I wear my flannel nighty in the winter when its not
and sometimes in the springtime
and sometimes in the fall
I jump between the covers with nothing on at all. "  Tongue
