Of course... there's also a societal disposition from that generation that kept their PTSD tamped down. PTSD is there. Trust me.

I agree. Originally the context was not whether it was there or not. Just wondering why often today’s attrocities like mass shootings are blamed on it and I don’t recall school shootings etc after wwii and Vietnam.

Well hopefully you will be fine limey.

Thank you.

650 in Church today, beautiful clear Autumn morning. My boy and I went. Mrs. Limey broke her arm yesterday so stayed at home with some powerful painkillers.

Lots to consider,  politically,  when reflecting on WW1.  I know it has never been seen as much of a big deal in American 20th C thinking, but some lessons look like they've faded.

Oh boy. Broken arm. Ouch.

I’d have to say our history classes in the states, especially public schools, leave a ton to be desired. For the most part, it’s memorizing dates and names. Very little focus (none really) on lessons learned. And wwi takes a huge backseat to the revolutionary war, civil war and wwii.

I dunno if it's called the "funny bone " in America, that bit of the elbow which sends a weird tingling pain along your arm if you bash it... she broke that.

I'm told it's on a level with childbirth.
