Stop being a nazi, Ulysses.

Trump should reveal his tax returns only if he wants to. Nobody should be forced to make anyone’s returns public.

Oh Jasmine, you're so sweet and naive.

Read up on Al Capone and how the only way the Feds could put him in prison was for tax evasion.

You nailed it!  This is a very slippery slope, when the mob call for government to violate any individual's civil rights! There is no requirement that anyone running for any office must reveal their personal tax returns.  If they do not then this is something the voters can factor into their decision of who they vote for.  It is a crime to reveal anyone's personal income taxes to another person,; let alone, make them public!  If they do it to Trump they can do it to you!

Majority of Americans believe House Dems should release Trump's tax returns: poll

I may be misunderstanding something, but the last line in the article says the following:

"Full poll results will be posted online later this week. The Harvard CAPS/Harris Poll survey is an online sample drawn from the Harris Panel and weighted to reflect known demographics. As a representative online sample, it does not report a probability confidence interval."

Does this mean this is an online poll? I'm not sure what "online sample drawn from the Harris Panel" means.

Also, doesn't the fact that it doesn't have a "probability confidence interval" sound like the data is fairly useless from a scientific standpoint?

Again, I may be missing something here, but that last line sounds pretty important to understanding the significance of this poll.

So, if you and Jasmine and Bert were to have your way, Al Capone would still be lording over Chicago and the entire midwest until his natural death. His reign of terror over law-abiding citizens would have gone unchecked. Nice.

Your remarks have no relevance to what they are clearly stating.  I do not know about you but please explain why ANYONE must submit their private information to the public despite the protection of our laws?  I put far more emphasis on his voting record then how he paid taxes AND, if he has broken any laws, the IRS will and can prosecute since they are the recipient of his information for their review. Are we saying that no information of our lives should ever be guarded from abuse?

So you are stating the IRS can not do it's job of enforcing the laws regarding taxable income?

I have no idea how that applies to what I posted.. .

BUT as for what you posted.. You were screaming the loudest when the IRS was doing its job investigating political groups applying for tax-exempt status so did you want them doing their job then or now?

Not quite what they were doing but as usual a bit of an overreach on your part.  Internal Revenue Service (IRS) revealed that it had selected political groups applying for tax-exempt status for intensive scrutiny based on their names or political themes. This led to wide condemnation of the agency and triggered several investigations, including a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) criminal probe ordered by United States Attorney General Eric Holder
