It's a weird question for King to ask. The very term denotes that the person thinks his race is superior to yours, and I can see how people might be offended by that.

Personally, I'm not offended by the term or the attitude. If you think you are superior to me simply on the basis of skin color, well, that's kinda stupid, but it's just another way of thinking, not unlike liberals thinking they're better than conservatives or vice versa, or politicians thinking that they're better than regular people.

Not really,  Jasmine,  and by the way I'm glad you ate all the snails.  Slimy little bastards.

Saying you're better than someone else because of actions is different from saying so because of innate characteristics.

"I'm better than you, because you violate children,  commit arson on hospitals  and distribute literature featuring Piers Morgan. I do none of these things,  and I dedicate my time to succouring the needy, discovering cures for cancer, and seeking injunctions against Piers ".

That makes sense,  if true.

"I'm better than you because I have dense chest hair but yours is sparse".

That makes no sense at all.

The latter is exactly equivalent to "I'm better than you because I'm white and you're apale brown colour".

Steve King has always struck me as an idiot.  The kind of idiot who would walk into something so stupid and further strengthen the message he thinks he's defusing.

What is he "defusing"? King drops these racist dog whistles constantly.

Opinions don't have to make sense. Racism itself doesn't make sense.

But people are entitled to have these opinions. They don't bother me in the slightest. Like I always say, we cannot control what other people think (nor should we). We can only control what we think.

People are entitled to think whatever they want, but they aren't entitled to avoid criticism when they voice those opinions publicly, especially when they are in a public or elected position. When you want to be a PUBLIC overt or semi-overt racist, there is a price to pay.

I entirely agree that anyone is fundamentally entitled to have any opinion.

I'd disagree with anyone who suggested that this means all opinions are equally valid.

They simply are not.

Very true. No one is (or should be) immune from criticism. I'm just saying that, for me personally, "white supremacy" isn't such a big deal.

It's a consistent right wing narrative that there's nothing wrong with "white" X so long as minorities are able to talk about X Y!?!!1!"

"Why is it okay for blacks to have Black Pride, but whites who have White Pride are racists??1!1!"

That is the narrative Steve King was clumsily trying to push.  But he crappity smacked it up because he's a nitwit.

On this you are wrong.

Everyone's opinion formed of their life experiences is valid.  I don't know why it's still allowed to be prejudiced towards stupid people.

I always think it's interesting that John is a racist because he judges other people's culture harshly and doesn't want their culture to come to his country and pollute his culture.

But Jill is the world's greatest heroine as she takes to the world stage and judges other people's culture and tells them to be better towards <insert human rights issue here> and become more like her culture.

It's the exact same thing.  Both sides are judging another culture and finding it lacking.  Making the determination that their own culture is superior.  It's part of the reason John stopped listening to Jill a long time ago.

Can you explain this blind spot "globalists" have Limey?

No, if your opinion is that all blacks should die, that's not a valid opinion.
