Just did our taxes today.

We made about $3,000 more than last year, but still paid $1,900 less in federal income taxes.

So yeah, it saved us money.

I haven't done mine yet.

What about you?

Mine were done. I did get more than I did last year. I was surprised to get it back so fast. My accountant told me it was slow because of the shutdown.

That's true, but I was answering the question I was asked.

Ok, WOW, I owe the IRS $4k! I've never owed even close to this much. And talking to a few of my coworkers, I'm actually not in the worst place. One person owes $10k.

Now I am sure the response to my post will be something about bringing home extra money per paycheck, but in my case, that minimally changed. In other words, the amount I owe exceeds the amount I additionally brought home each month.

So in my case, and the few others I've talked to, this tax cut hurt me, and I am pissed at Trump even more.

For the first time in years, we got money back from the feds.  Usuall we would get a couple hundred back from the state.  This year, we got money backa from the feds which was a lot more than what we had ever gotten from the state,, and had to pay the state $8.  Loved it.  The money from the feds was in our bank within a week.   Grin

I'm just curious. Of those who responded, who is still working? In other words, are you retired or not.

I am retired.  It did not save me any money.  Paid about the same in taxes

No blacks will buy that cap.  Look at the bill! It's all curved like normal people wear. The bill of the hat is supposed to be flat with a shiny goofy looking sticker in the middle of it.

No self respecting thug would be without his sticker!
