The life of a pro wrestler

I was thinking about this yesterday: Among athletic endeavors, pro wrestling is the most difficult profession.

1. There is no “off season” for pro wrestling.

2. You’re always traveling from city to city, or even country to country. You rarely spend time at home.

3. You’re always dealing with nagging injuries.

I think you have to be a special breed of person to live the life of a pro wrestler.

They have it better than they used to. Now they are contracted. It used to be if they didn't work they didn't eat.

I couldn't do it. It has to be exhausting.

Me, either. The travel alone is enough to dissuade me. I remember some of the WWE stars once had to fly from the U.S. to Europe, back to the U.S. and then to Saudi Arabia - all within two weeks or so. That's rough.

And still find time to work out. If it was me, if I wasn't in the ring I would be asleep.
