To a certain extent.

Anybody who is suffering a prison sentence for a non-violent crime deserves some level of sympathy.

Stuffing somebody in a cage for a non-violent offense only benefits people who work in and for (directly and indirectly) the prison industry.

If FaceBook memes and twitter accounts can sway elections, then either accept it as the new reality or let's figure out a new form of government. Because democracy is therefore unfit in the modern age.

Translated into Libertarian...Manafort took someone's property without their consent and without compensating them.

Perhaps your point is that Manafort's supposed crime was only on paper and as such the original owner wasn't deprived of anything as the paper still exists.

He had his day in court and he lost. So not sorry for that. What is "sorry" in itself is that NY had to file charges just to make sure an old, non violent offender as RR mentioned spends the rest of his life in prison.

He did the crime...do the time.

Just so I'm clear, as I honestly haven't researched much as to what he has been convicted of, but whose property was taken without their consent?

If it is this, then the government is taking money from me without my consent in order to jail him. Can I put the state in jail?
