In 2016, the King of Debt promised to eliminate the national debt in eight years. However, instead of that, he's vastly increased it. Based on his dismal performance so far, and his announced plans, he will have increased the national debt by $9.1 billion in eight years (if he serves a second term).

Getting Trump out of the presidency would be a very good thing. But it will also burden his successor with an unprecedented massive national debt.

Good going there, boys.

Anyone want to hazard a guess as to what the next democrat president will do regarding the debt?

How much is that new green deal again?

Don't forget Medicare for all, free college, student debt forgiveness, healthcare debt forgiveness, etc..

All without raising taxes on the middle class.

Now, let's look at another metric. Instead of raw dollars, let's look at the percent that various presidents have increased the national debt.

The top five are:

1) FDR: increased the national debt by over 1,000 %. Hoover left the nation with $23 billion in debt. FDR increased that to $236 billion. However this was both to help the nation recover from the Great Depression, and also to pay for WWII. The war alone cost $209 billion.

2) Wilson: increased the debt by over 727%, but again he had to pay for a world war.

3) Reagan: increased the debt by 186%, but didn't have a world war to blame it upon. Tax cuts and massive increase in defense spending combined to put the nation further into hock.

4) GW Bush: increased the debt by 101%.

5) Obama: increased the debt by 74%.

Politics makes people dumb.   They argue over stupid stuff that isn't the governments responsibility, but an individuals, which cripples their ability to not only think critically but see how it is truly affecting the nation as "a whole."

One's political passions turns even the modest differences of opinion into an apocalyptic war of the wills and like cancer its killing this nation internally.  Heck, even in the face of overwhelming or convincing evidence, such as our "National Debt," they will fight to the death to get a BIGGER and BIGGER and BIGGER piece of the debt pie because that's what you do EVERY TIME you ask the government to "do something!"

All I know is that all this fighting is doing untold damage to this country when it is finally broke and penniless.  Irregardless of what "side" you stand or sit on, you need to look your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren in the eye's and tell them "I am stealing from you to pay for what "I" personally want" because that IS what ALL of you who demands or wants something from their politicians and can't even see how much you are STEALING from the work and labor of future generations, for what?  How does all this debt and continual loss of liberty and freedom with the millions of endless laws, too many that are turning citizens into "criminals" now; and money we have to borrow that produces zilch, benefit them?

This is what is inherently WRONG but no one can see past their own darn nose to see how bankrupt, literally, our country has become solely because of one's political ego.  So pat yourselves on the back for turning our country into the largest "Debtor Nation" because that's only "achievement" I've seen from the past three generations, oh and the endless wars, like King George engaged in, that I'm sure the American revolutionaries [true patriots] would be so darn proud of you accomplishing!

Shaking head.

My political goal is the pursuit of personal liberty & freedom for ALL, not be governed by fools & crooks who pick our pockets then claim its for "our benefit"---it’s a scam. When a politician votes it’s to take away another freedom; tax the people to fatten another's pocket; & grant themselves unlimited powers embodied by a large police & military force at their beck and call if anyone rebels

So what? The annual deficit has increased to more than one trillion dollars in 2019, the first time ever. If you had read your own link, you would know that instead of increasing the deficit, this is the best time to start decreasing it.

But the King of Debt says no.

You said that the tax cuts caused bigger deficits. I proved that the tax cuts did not decrease revenue. Now you are on to another reason? Why am I not surprised.

Quick question; when will you contribute something of intellectual value to the board?
